What Is A Dermal Filler & Cost?

Dermal filler is instant skin restoration & smooth results.  These gel-like injections are made of Hyaluronic Acid which help build a matrix that helps bind to nearby water molecules for a more plump, hydrated appearance.  Hyaluronic Acid is a natural occurring substance that gets depleted as we age.  Essentially, this will fill the areas of loss volume, contour the face, treat wrinkles, decrease skin folds, boost collagen, and of course boost self-confidence!! Dermal fillers are an effective way to help restore a more youthful appearance.

Dermal fillers soften:  Fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, volume loss, gummy smile, hollowed eyes, scarring, dark circles, skin laxity, asymmetry on all types of skin.

At Chíc Aesthetics, we understand that these procedures can bring some discomfort.  We offer anesthesia options to help with any discomfort you may feel.  We can further discuss in person.

NOTE:  multiple syringes may be needed for optimal correction.  Deeper folds/larger areas may need more than one syringe.   We want to meet your goals while maintaining your budget, we can discuss this more in person.

Pre & Post Treatment Advice:

Multiple techniques have been studied to help decrease bruising and swelling; however, it is best to no have social plans within a week time of your procedure to provide full healing.

PRE-TREATMENT

Try to schedule your treatment 2-3 weeks prior to any event or vacation to give time for any touch-ups that may be needed and for any recovery time from mild swelling or bruising.  Try to avoid any non-steroidal medication like ibuprofen (if possible) to avoid any additional risk of bruising (4-hours for ibuprofen-like Aleve or Motrin; 7 days prior for aspirin only if medically cleared).  Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to injection.  Taking homeopathic Arnica Montana (any form) may help reduce the risk of bruising.

POST-TREATMENT

Ice the treated area (s) at least 3 times the day of treatment, 20 min each time. Swelling/ Bruising in the area(s) of treatment is normal and to be expected up to 7 days.

Areas such as eye troughs and lips may stay bruised longer as these are more vascular areas. Arnica Montana, can be taken 3-4 days after your treatment to help reduce bruising.

Vigorous exercise may make swelling worse after treatment, please avoid for 24 hours postinjection.   Avoid any massage of the treatment area(s) after injection unless otherwise directed.  Avoid facials, waxing, excessive sun exposure and massage appointments for 3 days after injection.  Light forms of exercise such as walking are permitted.  If applying makeup after injection, use a brush to apply foundation or powder. Avoid any facial treatments involving chemicals or lasers, as well as dental cleanings or procedures for at least 2 weeks after your treatment.  Take acetaminophen for discomfort as needed.

WE CAN DO TOUCH UPS ABOUT 10-14 DAYS AFTER INITIAL TREATMENT!  ANY CONCERNS OR QUESTIONS AT ALL -PLEASE CALL 5708982649 or 5702599743!

Adverse reactions, Contraindications & Precautions:

Adverse reactions:

Common: Bruising, swelling, redness, slight discomfort, small lumps

Rare: infection, granulomatous inflammation/foreign body reaction, tissue necrosis, embolism (clot), blindness from clot.

Fillers are broken down naturally by your body over numerous months, depending on how much is injected, what type of product is used and where it is injected. This occurs very gradually and naturally. However, if you are dissatisfied or need any adjustment to dermal filler placements, there is the option to have it “dissolved” if seeing an undesirable effect.

We must wait 6 months after filler treatment to do any morpheus8 treatment on the same area (s).

Because this medication is given at the site of your concerned area, most of the side effects occur close to where the medication is injected.

Contraindications/Precautions:

Hypersensitivity to any hyaluronic acid preparation or to any of the components in the formulation like lidocaine.  Let us know if you have ANY numbing medicine allergies.

Pregnancy Or Breastfeeding
